She got Evan all her hats and put them on one by one so we can laugh.
She got dressed for our dinner night. Yeah, all by herself....

One tree hill and Cornwall Park
As part of Mor-mor's recent visit we finally visited One Tree Hill or Maungakiekie as they call it in Maori. It is one of Auckland's largest volcanic peak surrounded by an amazing (size and beauty wise)park called Cornwall Park.
We put our walking shoes on, took Bug's bike and had a fantastic time exploring. The park is home to the Auckland Observatory, a great Cafe, the Acacia Cottage and amazing trees.
Bug and I collected some pine cones, acorn and leaves for some of our upcoming art projects welcoming autumn.
We even got to go up to the top of the Hill where you pretty much get a 360 view of the city.
As you can imagine we only saw a very small part of the park and can't wait to go back to explore the rest. Fall is here so I think we might just have to make time to see how the leaves are changing.

Kurt Cobain has nothing on her
Music has been a huge part of her life. First we would dance with her (ever since she was a month old)to just introduce her to the rhythm, than she started shaking her little bum whenever she heard any kind of sound that resembled some kind of music. Eventually she fell in love with dancing and recently she picked up her guitar (again) and started picking on the strings. She even asked her dad to teach her how to play. I hope she will have the same passion for music as he does.

Autumn brings wind and rain, oh and birthday parties
There is nothing that would keep Bug from having a little fun. Be that rain, wind or fire (ok, maybe not fire) she will take her chances. Fall has definitely arrived and it means cool weather, amazing amount of showers and windy days.
We have everything it takes to have fun even in these conditions.
Chinese handcrafted umbrella (which by the way totally useless in case of rain), home and hand made kite and a wonderful raincoat (or three) that will keep Bug warm and happy.
There are also birthday parties to attend. Lately she keeps asking if I will have a birthday for her and if I will take care of it? Even though it is (only) 7 months away I think we will be starting the preparations. Maybe this time we will have a theme party.
This weekend we had her little friend’s Naisha’s and her older sister’s (Navya) birthday to attend. It took only a week for her to grasp the idea that we weren’t celebrating her birthday and that she wouldn’t be the center of attention as expected. By her I mean. Expected by her.
All the candy, music, toys and attention made her quite happy. She proudly showed off her brother, as he seemed to steal the spotlight and was more proud to present had made, by her (according to her), birthday cards and paper butterflies to the two celebrating girls.
So, we are starting our hibernation with more arts and crafts at home and lots of fun times getting wet from heavy rain or blown away by incredibly strong and fast wind.
