Working Girl

So, Naddie will be in day care by the end of this week.
I got a job as a Sales & Catering manager at a company called Guckenheimer.
It seems to be a great opportunity for me so I have decided to pursue it.
I already know that it will be a very hard transition for both Naddie and I.
For now she will be going back to the same daycare provider where she was in Vancouver but I found an amazing Montessori school for her. They do not have availability until August but we are putting our application in and some $$ to get the next spot. I do have to say that it is the very first center where I saw quality child care provided. If you are interested here is a link to their website:

Luckily I will have three days with her as most Fridays I do not have to work.As I said this decision came after long a careful consideration and I truly believe it will be the right one in the long run.

Every Tuesday night we have a street fair downtown Huntington, where they have various artist playing music, food and handmade stuff for sale and even rides for kids. This was last Tuesday. Watch Naddie doing the boogie woogie!

Carlsbad

We all visited Granny & Gramps this weekend and introduced Naddie to her great uncle Dennis and great aunt Pat.
She really liked Pat. Well, actually she really liked Pat’s watch and necklace and even her earrings. She tried hard to get to them, but had no luck. Maybe in august when we get to see them in Montana.
We also took a big walk in Carlsbad and got to see some gigantic squirrels on the beach and met a few big dogs chasing them.
Naddie showed off her new tricks and took Granny and Lisa for a walk. She would have taken Gramps too but realized she only had two hands to offer so she had to choose.
Her newest things she says:
-Stand up
-Add ide (give it to me in Hungarian)
-Stop (to me when I am trying to change her)
-Yes (notice!!! Most kids say NO first)
-Baba (baby in Hungarian)

Naddie decided to just stand up and walk to her dada yesterday. She was exactly 14 months and she took off. She stood up without any help (did not even put her hands down) and walked over (about 5-6 steps) to dada who was playing with her. She totally enjoys this newfound ability and keeps trying and trying.
She is a late walker but she is an early talker. She can go on and on about things. She also picked up this new habit that when she is really explaining something or trying to get your attention she will use her index finger (Will calls it her dictator finger) and make a very serious face and will just go off. Just like adults do!
She is also becoming very affectionate with some of her stuffed animals or her Baby doll. She hugs them and kisses them and pets them on the back.
I also found that she understands funny things without having to go out of our way to make faces or funny sounds. We took a picture of her and it turned out pretty funny. When I showed her the enlarged picture on the computer she started laughing. Only at that one though.
She is a very independent freethinking little girl. She is definitely exploring boundaries and how far she can go. Well, with daddy not too far. However with mommy she pushes as far as she can go.
I have to say this does not surprise me. It has happened with Puma and I knew it would eventually happen with Naddie as well.
