Hey pretty do you want to take a ride with me…in my car?

There was a great car show downtown Huntington this weekend. We took Baby Bug and she loved it.
I wouldn’t say she really liked the cars, but she loved the buzz it brought into our little town. There were some great classic Chevys, Mustangs, tons of Woodies and I could just go on.
While gramps and Will strolled around and studied all these beautiful old cars, Bug and I found the ones we liked. Even though I often say she is more of a “tomboy” she still loved the red ones or the pink ones.
We also had some family visiting from Montana and Bug was on her best behavior. Who knew she can sit in one place for longer than 15 minutes.

On a side note: I have gotten my citizenship application approved and now just waiting for the Ceremony date. I have to say I feel such relief to be done with it all. It was 9 years in a making and what a masterpiece…

Nadineisms

Me: How did you get that scratch?
BB: Joydie. Joydie did it.
Me: What did Jordy do?
BB: She squatched me.

Couple of minutes later.

BB: Bubu. Bubu on face.
Me: Where?
BB: Joydie. Joydie did it.
Me: What did Jordy do?
BB: Joydie hit me.

Every friendship has it’s ups and downs. I think they are at the “downs” right now.

"No later mommy!"

I was sent by “your highness” (aka Bug) to update the long overdue updatable information on her majesty’s blog.
No, I am not roll playing by any means. I am just going along with what life has thrown in our way. The one who rules our world, she who inherited her father’s iron will.

She is the “ruler” of my world. She tells me how to do things or not to do things.
She tells me the obvious and the not so obvious.
She takes me out for a walk or a stroll or just to get some fresh air. No, it is not my choice. I don’t have a say. I only obey.

This past month we had both Mor Mor and Agi (that is how she calls her) visiting. Bug also got to go to Disney Land and spent hours and hours on her beloved beach and the
pool.
She is also 2. We do have the occasional “melt downs” but they are so rare that we still think: “How lucky we are…!”

She talks a lot now. Not just words but full sentences that she puts together.
She also makes “monster” sounds, sings along songs and will tell little poems.
She has such a deep love for the outdoors and the little creatures she meets each day.
She is just amazing.
